Prep Academy Tutors of Upper Manhattan & the Bronx is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate Academic Tutors to support students in grades K–12 across a variety of subject areas. Our tutors provide personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's academic needs, learning style, and goals.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one academic tutoring in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and/or Foreign Languages)
Support students with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and test preparation
Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs and assessment results
Track student progress and provide regular updates to families
Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
Travel to students' homes (Upper Manhattan and/or the Bronx) or conduct virtual sessions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or teaching certification preferred
Strong subject-matter expertise in at least one core academic area
Prior teaching or tutoring experience (classroom, private tutoring, or small-group instruction)
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Reliable transportation (for in-person tutoring assignments)
Authorized to work in the United States

Schedule & Availability
Tutoring sessions typically take place:

Requirements
A qualified applicant will have a bachelor's degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:
· You hold a valid NY State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
· You are a current student teacher; pursuing a teaching certificate
· You have 2 or more years experience as a classroom teacher in a private or charter school.
· You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
· You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
