Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in high-speed PCB design and analog electronics to design, develop, and test electrical hardware systems. This role will focus on developing reliable, high-performance hardware solutions, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit designs.

Experience in medical device development is a plus but not required. We welcome candidates from a variety of industries with strong electrical hardware design expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document electrical hardware systems and electronic assemblies.
\n
• Develop high-speed PCB layouts, schematics, and board-level designs.
\n
• Design and troubleshoot analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including signal conditioning, filtering, amplification, and conversion.
\n
• Select and source processors, peripherals, and electronic components based on system requirements.
\n
• Perform prototype testing, board bring-up, and hardware validation using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, waveform generators, and programmable power supplies.
\n
• Collaborate with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses to support fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing feasibility.
\n
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and work with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design and performance challenges.
\n
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
\n
• Apply industry best practices for hardware reliability, design quality, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
\n
• 3–5+ years of hands-on electrical hardware design experience.
\n
• Strong experience with high-speed PCB design, board layout, and schematic development.
\n
• Strong knowledge of analog electronics, digital circuitry, and mixed-signal design.
\n
• Experience using PCB design software, preferably Altium Designer.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic testing and troubleshooting equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and waveform generators.
\n
• Experience with PCB fabrication, assembly processes, and component selection.
\n
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple design projects, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience in medical device, medical technology, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, semiconductor, or other complex electronics environments.
\n
• Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electrical safety, and regulatory compliance.
\n
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1, and related industry standards.
\n
• Experience with reliability engineering, tolerance analysis, worst-case analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
