General Manager – Royal Refuse (Eugene, OR)

Royal Refuse is a franchised commercial and residential solid waste and recycling hauler in Eugene, Oregon, and part of the Bucks Sanitary Service family of companies. The General Manager has full responsibility for daily operations, financial performance, and growth.

What the role does:

• Leads collection operations: front-load commercial routes, residential service, and roll-off.
• Manages route supervisors and drivers, and owns route efficiency and route balancing.
• Partners with the Sales Manager to grow and keep commercial accounts.
• Owns safety, compliance, and the relationship with the City of Eugene. 
• Accountable for contribution margin, missed pickups, and customer retention through a team scorecard.

Must have:

• 5+ years of management experience in solid waste or refuse collection.
• Has led drivers and supervisors.
• Has had responsibility for a P&L or margin.
• Understands route-based operations and fleet management.

Nice to have:

• Experience with municipal franchise or contracts.
• Knowledge of Oregon or the Pacific Northwest market.
• Familiarity with routing and billing software such as RAMS.
• Background in commercial sales or customer retention.
• Lives in or is willing to relocate to the Eugene/Springfield area.

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus a performance incentive tied to margin and scorecard results, company vehicle, and full benefits.
