Jira Administrator

For subcon 50/hr Max Rate

The pay range for this role is $90000 - $95000 per annum

Will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing Jira software to support project tracking, issue resolution, and Agile delivery across teams. This role ensures the platform is tailored to organizational needs, integrates with other tools, and remains secure and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Jira instances, ensuring uptime and performance.
• Customize workflows, permissions, screens, and notification schemes.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and access controls.
• Design and implement dashboards, filters, and reports for stakeholders.
• Integrate Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket, Service Desk, and other tools.
• Support project teams with Agile configurations (Scrum/Kanban boards).
• Conduct system audits and apply performance optimizations.
• Provide training and documentation for Jira users.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering Jira
• Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, and permission models.
• Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Bitbucket, Service Desk).
• Proficiency in scripting (Groovy, ScriptRunner) and automation.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Jira Administration certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Forge platform and custom development.
